Debra White Cater, 61, of Monticello, passed away on June 16, 2019 at her home.

She was retired from Burlington Industries, worked for Open Air Brands in Monticello and was a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Cater was born on September 9, 1957 in Drew County to the late Lester Owen White and Joyce Burris White.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Rhonda Knight, and a brother, Terry White.

Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Joseph Cater of Monticello; one son, Stephen Kelly and wife Shana of Monticello; one daughter, Jennifer Thompson and husband Kevin of Monticello; two brothers, Randy White and wife Paula of Glendale and Steve White of Benton; one sister, Amy Beaty and husband Tony of Dewitt; four grandchildren, Morgan, Ava, Luke and Ashton; several aunts and uncles, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be Monday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home in Monticello. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 18, at 2 p.m. at Old Union Cemetery.
