Denver Hoyt Moncrief, 73, of McGehee, died on December 12, 2014 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff.
Mr. Moncrief was a retired farmer and a Baptist. He was born in Watson on October 7, 1941 and was the son of the Alvin and Alta Moncrief.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Moncrief was preceded in death by a son, Mark Moncrief; and brothers, J. T. Moncrief and Donald Moncrief.
Survivors include sons and their wives, Marty and Jean Moncrief of McGehee, and Michael and Bernadette Moncrief of Mansura, Louisiana; brothers, James Moncrief and his wife Jonie of Pendleton, and Billy Moncrief also of Pendleton; his sisters and their husbands, JoAnne and Sonny Henley of Star City, Mary and Jerry Don New of Pendleton, and Becky and Roger Wynn of Star City; a sister-in-law, Betty Moncrief of Star City; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is December 14 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee. Graveside services will be held on December 15 at 2 p.m. at Watson Cemetery in Watson with Rev. Kenny Culpepper officiating.
