Authorities are searching the Dermott area for two 18-year-old men who escaped Monday night from a Dermott facility for juvenile offenders. Noah Miller of Glenwood and Alex Armador of Ft. Smith escaped at 8:30 p.m. during recreation time after dinner by climbing over a fence and “squeezing” through a gap in a gate, according to Larry Jacobs, director of the facility.

Jacobs said Miller and Armador were last seen at a Dermott residence where they used the homeowner’s telephone to call Armador’s mother. They are believed to still be in the Dermott area.

Miller is described as a white male wearing a blue shirt, khaki pants and flip-flops. Armador is described as a Hispanic male wearing a red sweat shirt, gray gym shorts and blue boots.

Miller and Armador were being held for non-violent offences.

Anyone who sees Miller or Armador, or has information about their whereabouts, is asked to call the Dermott Police Department at (870)538-5269.
