A Dermott woman was killed early Monday morning (August 24) in a single-vehicle accident on I-530 in Jefferson County.

Ingrid Rochelle Chism, 48, of Dermott, was traveling north on I-530 in Jefferson County when the 2000 Nissan she was driving left the roadway and overturned multiple times before coming to a final rest on the roadside, according to an Arkansas State Police preliminary accident report.

Chism’s passengers, Dominikue Lamont Harris, 32, of Little Rock, and a male minor were both injured in the accident and transported to hospitals. The accident report did not disclose the identity of the minor.

The accident occurred Monday at 4:01 a.m. The weather was clear and the roadway was dry.

At least 389 people have died as a result of accidents on Arkansas roads this year, according to preliminary figures.
