Dewey C. Cash, 90, of Rison, died on June 26, 2017.

He was retired from Central Maloney in Pine Bluff. He was a World War II veteran who served in the Army and was a member of the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.

Mr. Cash was born on October 20, 1926 at Rison and was the son of the late Oliver Cash and Dora May Cash.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Billie Jean Cash on July 29, 1994 and Loriece Taylor Cash on April 19, 2009; two sons Jim Cash and Roger Cash; and five brothers, Troy Vallentine, Lowery Vallentine, Orville Vallentine, Ora Vallentine and Ira E. Cash.

He is survived by a daughter, Donna Cash of Rison; a daughter-in-law, Peggy Cash of Rison; a stepson, Gary Taylor and wife Teresa of Rye; two stepdaughters, Joan Wilkerson and her husband James of Monticello, and Annett Erwin and husband Lyndal of Birmingham, Alabama; four grandchildren, Mark Cash of Rison, Roger Dale Cash, Jr. of Rison, John Cash of Sheridan and Amy Dedman of Hot Springs; eight great-grandchildren and a very special friend Steve James of Bauxite.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 1 at 10 a.m. at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church near Rison by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Macedonia Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday, June 30 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.
