Donald Cain Reed, 76, of Crossett, passed away on September 12, 2016 at St. Vincent’s Hospital.
He was born on November 19, 1939 in Pine Bluff and was the son of the late Cain and Pearl Hankins Reed.
Mr. Reed was a millwright for Georgia Pacific. He was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed visiting his buddies at the coffee shop. He served as Captain of the Ashley County Rescue Unit for many years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Reed and a sister, Lorene Reed Morrison.
Survivors include his wife, Sandy Reed of Crossett; a son, Michael Cain Reed and wife, Mitzi of Eros, Louisiana; a daughter, Angie Reed Adams and husband, Scott of W. Monroe, Louisiana; two granddaughters, Aliza Grace Reed, Brooke Nicole Wisecarver; a nephew, Billy Rex Morrison and two nieces, Patricia Hillis and Donna Kriner.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 14 at 2:30 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robin Allen officiating. Interment will follow at Causey Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Jones Funeral Home Chapel.
