Dorothy Lou Blankenship Lewis, 77, of Warren, died on September 12, 2018, at her home.

She was a retired registered nurse, a member of Immanuel Baptist Church where she was a member of the Faith Sunday School Class, past president of the Warren Woman’s Club, and a 1958 graduate of Hermitage High School.

Mrs. Lewis was born on December 25, 1940, in Morrilton, and was the daugher of the late Vaughn White Blankenship and Lottie Belle Slaughter Blankenship.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Daniel (J.D.) Lewis and a great-grandchild.

Survivors are a son, Richard Daniel Lewis, Sr., and his wife, Deborah, of Greenville, Alabama; a daughter, Jennifer Dawn Lewis of Monticello; four grandchildren, Missy Alford and spouse B.J., Lynn Griffin, Rachel Lewis, and Richie Lewis; and nine great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 15 at 2 p.m. at Frazer’s Funeral Home in Warren with Rev. David Richie and Rev. Wayman Mann officiating.
