Dorothy Marie Simmons Doggett, 93, of Prattville, Alabama, formerly of Warren, died on May 18, 2015 at her home.
She was a homemaker, a Free Will Baptist and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was born October 10, 1921 in Cleveland County and was the daughter of the Joseph Edward Simmons and Callie Rosetta Williams Simmons.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Elder Doggett; two brothers, Lester Simmons and Herbert Simmons; and three sisters, Erla Faulkner, Lois Carmicle and Edna Ashcraft.
Survivors include a son, Ken Doggett and wife JoAnn of Batesville; two daughters, Linda Harvey and husband George of Phoenix, Arizona and Lisa Young and husband Mike of Prattville, Alabama; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on May 22 at 4 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Church with Rev. Kenneth Doggett and Rev. George Harvey officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Valley Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Mark Doggett, Gary Doggett, Scott Beaver, Greg Harvey, James Doggett and Brandon Wills.
