Doyle M. Sivils, 78, of Hamburg, died April 10, 2014 at the Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock.
Mr. Sivils was a native and life long resident of Hamburg and a 1953 graduate of Hamburg High School. He worked for Georgia-Pacific Corporation for 38 years and he was also a blacksmith.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church; a 32nd Degree Mason; a member of the Hamburg Masonic Prairie Lodge #465 having received his 50 year pin. He was a member of the Hillsboro Hunting Club in Union County and a former member of the Ashley County Fair Board.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Irven and Goldie White Sivils; three brothers, Earl, Marion and Ferrell Sivils and an infant sister.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Janice Summarell Sivils of Hamburg; three daughters, Becky Sivils of West Monroe, La.; Laura Sivils Dawson and husband, Bud, of Hamburg and Melanie Geer and husband, Andy, of Arlington, Texas; two brothers, Fred Sivils of Bastrop, Louisiana and Billy Ralph Sivils of Greenbrier; a sister, Glenda Doss of Hamburg; four grandchildren, Tabitha amd Hannah Tadlock and Matthew and Trey Geer.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., April 13, at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Bobby Pennington and Bill Sivils officiating. Burial will be in the Promise Land Cemetery with full Masonic rights. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. April 13 at the church.
