Most of the Drew Central High School sophomores participating in a Feb. 13 field trip to Chef Lee’s Japanese Restaurant in Pine Bluff experienced hibachi-grilled Japanese food for the first time. The students were grouped together around a large hibachi grill where the chef prepared the food. The field trip was a part of a unit on Asian culture as part of a World History study through Common Core standards. The unit was developed by Drew Central faculty members Eulea Kiraly, Helen Banks, Karon Parrish and Barbie Eubanks.
