Beth Davis of Monticello has announced her candidacy for re-election to the office of Drew County Assessor in the upcoming Democratic primary election.
Davis, who is currently in her fourth term as assessor, served as deputy assessor for 15 years before being elected to the position.
She is currently serving as vice president of the Arkansas Assessor’s Association and was secretary/treasurer of the group in 2013. She is also a member of the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) and the Arkansas Chapter of the IAAO.
“During my time in office, we have worked to provide additional services to constituents, including the ability to assess online and online access to parcel data,” Davis said in a news release announcing her candidacy. “We are currently working on GIS mapping.”
Davis and her husband, Bruce, have one daughter, Kailyn. Davis is the daughter of Wanda Young of Wilmar and the late Diddle Young.
“It has been a pleasure serving the citizens of Drew County as assessor,” Davis said. “With my experience in the office, I would like to ask for your continued support and vote in the upcoming election.”
