Traditionally, Drew County celebrates Veteran’s Day at the Drew County courthouse, but this year it will be a multi-venue event involving more aspects of the community. All of the events, unless otherwise noted, are open to the public.
The first ceremony will be held at Drew Central’s Earl Willis Auditorium on November 11 at 9:30 a.m. Following that, at 11 a.m. veterans can get their questions about benefits answered by an accredited service officer at First Baptist Church. At 11:30 a.m., First Baptist Church will host a lunch open to all veterans. Another program is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at Monticello Middle School auditorium.
