Dave Nugent, Orlando Jones, Artur Davis and Diana Harton

Drew County Justice of the Peace Orlando Jones, who recently switched from the Democratic Party to the Republican party, was one of several Drew County Republicans who attended an Arkansas College Republicans event headlining former Obama for America co-chairman and Alabama Congressman Artur Davis, who also switched parties.

Davis, who seconded Obama’s nomination for president four years ago at the 2008 Democratic Convention, is now a surrogate for the Romney for President campaign and spoke of his dissatisfaction with the Democratic Party at the 2012 Republican National Convention where he said he was among the “six million who got it wrong in 2008 and want to fix it.”

Jones attended the College Republicans event in Little Rock Monday night as an invited guest, along with Dave Nugent, representing the newly-formed College Republicans organization at the University of Arkansas at Monticello, and Drew County Republican chairman Diana Harton.
