Duane Keith Cochrane, 68, of Star City, passed away on January 6, 2020 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.

He was born on May 12, 1951 in Biloxi, Mississippi to the late Henry Alden and Edith Faye Parvin Cochrane.

Mr. Cochrane was a member of Center Missionary Baptist Church, an employee at School Apparel, a self-employed upholsterer, and a maître d’ at the Country Village Catfish. He received his bachelor’s of Christianity, loved reading, singing, playing with his grandchildren, and was a big fan of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Survivors include his wife, Karen Finnugan Cochrane of Star City; son, Aaron (Lisa) Cochrane of Bradford; five daughters, Pamela (John) Whipple, Laura (Shane) Holloway and Anna (Cody) Holloway, all of Star City; Kerri (Matthew) Whipple of Linden, North Carolina and Beth (Tyler) Holloway of Star City; two brothers, Gerald (Barbara) Cochrane of Mobile, Alabama and Mike Cochrane of Cullman, Alabama; sister, Judy Jacobsen of Gulfport, Mississippi; nine grandsons, 12 granddaughters, and one great-grandson.

Visitation is Wednesday, January 8 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Griffin Funeral Home in Star City.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 9 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Bro. Doney Blackerby and Bro. Bradley McCool officiating. Burial will be at Rowell Cemetery.
