Dugger M. White, Jr., 92, of Star City, died on April 3, 2016 at Gardner Nursing Center in Star City.

He was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Star City, a United States Army Veteran and a retired farmer. He was also in the Civilian Conservation Corps Camps for three years.

Mr. White was born August 1, 1923 in Lincoln County and was the son of the late Dugger M. White, Sr. and Cora Lee Tucker White.

Also preceding him in death were his wife, Maudie Carter White; brothers, John White, Clarence White, Floyd White, J. K. White and C. L. White; sisters, Eva Green, Jewel New and Grace Lee Waters.

Survivors include two sisters, Ella Vanderburg of Bodcaw, Arkansas and Irene Handly of Star City; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on April 6, at 10 a.m. at Griffin Funeral Chapel with Bro. John Marlar officiating.

Visitation April 5 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Holly Springs Cemetery.
