A Dumas man was killed Sunday night in a two-vehicle accident near the intersection of Waterman and Oak streets in Dumas, according to a preliminary State Police accident report.
Tyron James, 31, of Dumas, was traveling north on North Oak Street when his 1998 Oldsmobile Cutlass went through the intersection of Oak and Waterman streets where it was struck by an eastbound Chevrolet truck on Waterman Street, according to the accident report.
The driver and a passenger in the truck, who were not identified in the accident report, were not injured.
The accident occurred at 9:20 p.m. Sunday. The weather was clear and the roadway was dry.
The accident was investigated by Dumas Police Officer Dustin James, according to the police report.
