The body of a man suspected in the non-fatal shooting of 18-year-old Jamisha Phillips was discovered early Monday morning outside the home of a resident in the Meadowview subdivision of Dumas.

Keondrick Tanner, 24, of Dumas, is believed to have shot himself Monday morning after allegedly shooting Phillips earlier the same morning at a different location. While Tanner is believed to have died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, the shooting is still under investigation. His body was sent to the state Medical Examiner for autopsy, according to 10th Judicial District deputy prosecutor Crews Puryear.

Meanwhile, Phillips is in stable condition at a Little Rock hospital where she is being treated for six gunshot wounds, according to Puryear.

A resident in the Meadowview subdivision discovered Tanner’s body on her lawn with a gun in his hand. He was pronounced dead by Desha County Coroner Joe Wilkin.
