Dwight Allen Hudspeth, 49, of Monticello, formerly of McGehee, passed away on July 22, 2017 at his home.
He was born March 27, 1968 to the late Bryan Hudspeth and the late Marnett Hudspeth.
Mr. Hudspeth was a 1986 honor graduate of McGehee High School. He graduated from the University of Arkansas at Monticello with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 1990. He was employed at Georgia Pacific for 28 years.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Hudspeth was preceded in death by his sisters Beverly Ann Davis and Linda Hudspeth.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 28 years, Brenetta Hudspeth of Monticello; two daughters, Tiffany Lee of Las Vegas, Nevada and Treshai Hudspeth of Monticello; four grandchildren, Mariah Collins, Mekhi Collins, Macavia Collins, and Sammie Collins III all of Las Vegas, Nevada; a brother Rufus (Judy) Hudspeth of Little Rock; a sister, Grenda (Willie) Campbell of Monticello; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joe and Varia Lee of Monticello; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, July 28, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at at Holmes Chapel Presbyterian Church, 527 E. McCloy Street in Monticello. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 29, at 2:30 p.m. at the church, with Rev. Robert Cook, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Strickland Memorial Lawn in McGehee. The repast will be at the Hawkins Center (building next to Holmes Chapel).
