Dwight Rogers, 57, of Monticello passed away on January 18, 2017 at UAMS in Little Rock.

He was born in Drew County on Octobers 27, 1959 to the late E.A. and Louise Matthews Rogers.

Mr. Rogers confessed his love for Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of the Morning Star Baptist Church where he served as usher, superintendent and van driver. He was a 1978 graduate of Monticello High School. He attended the He attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello and the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Nelson and Rebecca Cochran and Julius Matthews; and an aunt, Darlene Mallett.

Survivors include his wife, Gwendolyn Rogers; a son, William (Ketrina) Rogers; a daughter, Natasha Rogers; a grandson, Andrew Rogers; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

The funeral service will be held on January 21 at 11 a.m. at Morning Star Baptist Church with Rev. D.J. Buffington officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery with arrangements by Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home.
