Earl Robert Norris, 90, of Warren, died on July 6, 2017 at Gardner Nursing Home in Star City.
Mr. Norris was a sergeant in the Air Force during and after World War II. He was in the occupation forces in Japan where he met and married his wife. He was a retired brick mason and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing cards and dominoes with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer R. and Olellian Joiner Norris; a son, Thomas Elmer Norris; a granddaughter, Marti Marie Norris; a grandson, Christopher Robert Norris; and two sisters Juanita Steadman Lawrence and Etoyle Tomlin.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Hiro “Mickey” Norris of Warren and their children, Ann Orleanski of Warren, Erva Sharp of Warren, Nick Norris and wife Sherry of Plano, Texas; Steve Norris of Warren; and Renee Richard and husband Randy of West Monroe, Louisiana.
He is also survived by four sisters, Gladys Rowsey of Horn Lake, Mississippi; Argie Chaillaux of Tucson, Arizona; Blanche Waterhouse of Winter Haven, Florida, and Linda Earline Engstrom and husband Bruce of Winter Haven, Florida; a brother, James Norris and wife Evelyn of New Edinburg; and nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 10 at 2 p.m. at Frazer’s Funeral Home in Warren.
