Eathel Harmon McDaniel

Eathel Harmon McDaniel, 97, of Monticello, passed away on May 10, 2019 at Belle View Nursing and Rehab in Monticello.

She was the widow of Johnny James (Jack) McDaniel, a homemaker and was of the Church of Christ faith. She enjoyed reading, watching television, quilting and working in her flowers.

Mrs. McDaniel was born December 29, 1921 in Boydell and was the daughter of the late Frank Harmon and Myrtle Pamplin Harmon.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one son, Johnny Frank McDaniel.

Survivors include two sons, Bobby Eugene McDaniel and Billy Wayne McDaniel and wife Melinda both of Monticello; five daughters, Mildred Hart of Morrilton, Earline Winters and husband James of Monticello, Shirley Harvey and husband Leon of Coldwater, Mississippi, Velma Sebourn and husband Danny of Jerusalem, Arkansas and Karen Cater and husband Ronny of Monticello; two sisters, Dorothy Stokley of Texas and Jean Grimes of Dermott; twenty-seven grandchildren, forty-one great grandchildren and twenty-two great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 12 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home in Monticello. A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 13 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lone Sassafras Cemetery in Drew County.
