Eddie Ray Purvis, 66, of Oak Grove, Louisiana passed away on July 27, 2016.
He worked for Deyampert Gin Trust of Wilmot for more than 25 years and enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Mr. Purvis was born on March 4, 1950 at Oak Grove, Louisiana and was the son of the the late Ray and Dorothelen Garner Purvis.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Louise Reed Purvis; brothers, Joe Lee Purvis and Dale Purvis; and sister, Dottie Jane Purvis.
Survivors include his sons, Steven Ray Purvis and Marcus Wayne Purvis, both of Oak Grove, Louisiana; brother, Jerry “Bud” Purvis of Kilbourne, Louisiana; sisters, Annie Reed of Forsyth, Georgia, Betty Dennis of McGehee, Cathy Johnson of Pensacola, Florida, Patty Eskew of Monroe, Louisiana, and Kelly Young of Plummerville, Arkansas; and grandchildren, Hunter Purvis and Jo Jo Purvis.
A memorial Services will be held on July 30 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church in Oak Grove, Louisiana with Revs. Johnny Cook, Sr., Archie Haley, and Rayburn McLarrin officiating.
