Edna E. May Kennedy, 71, of Watson, departed this life on November 13, 2019.
She was born on May 5, 1948 at Kelso and was the daughter of the late Claude C. May and Ruth E. Williams May.
Mrs. Kennedy attended church at Abundant Life Worship Center in Dumas. She was a cook and former employee for Dumas Residential Care a number of years and her favorite past time, other than cooking, was gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Shirl Gene “Pee Wee” Irons; a brother, Johnny May; and a sister, Carrie Sanders.
Survivors are her husband, Randy Kennedy of Watson; two sons, Keith Irons and Randall Kennedy of Watson, both of Watson; two daughters, Norma Morris of Rison and Valarie Kennedy Tucker of East End; a brother, Tommy May of Pearl, Mississippi; sisters, Shirley Irons of McGehee, Lillie Snow of McGehee, Geneva Chance of Jessup, Georgia; Carolyn Lamb of Arkansas City, and Kathy Wilson of McGehee; and eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Visitation and services will be held on Saturday, November 16, at Abundant Life Worship Center. Visitation begins at 1 p.m. followed by the funeral service begins at 2 p.m. with Rev. Spencer Berry officiating. Burial will be at at Walnut Lake Cemetery.
