Edward Adams, Sr., 78, of Hermitage, died December 21, 2013 at Cornerstone Hospital in Jacksonville.

He was born March 24, 1935 in Newark, N.J. and was the son of the late Edward Adams and Marie Adams Divine.

Mr. Adams was a retired truck driver for Great Lakes Chemical and a Baptist.

Also preceding him in death was a stepson, Richard Skiba and a sister, Jean Robinson.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Huitt Adams; three sons, Edward Adams, Jr., of Winter Haven, Fla., Marty Adams, of Cabot, and Harry Gene Adams, of Warren; four daughters, Donna Munoz, of Coconut Creek, Fla., Debbie Hampton, of St. Augustine, Fla., Cindy Ayers, of Spring Grove, Va., and Diane Brewer, of Pineville, La.; one stepson, Albert Skiba, of Pompano Beach, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Bobbie King, of Margate, Fla. and Lori Evans, of Baxter, Fla.; one sister, Elaine Novak, of Port Richey, Fla.; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Frazer’s Funeral Home in Warren on December 27 at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Union Hill Cemetery at Ingalls. Visitation will be at the funeral home on December 26 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
