Edward Lamar Tubbs, 64, of McGehee, passed away on January 15, 2015 at McGehee Desha County Hospital in McGehee.
Mr. Tubbs attended Arkansas A&M College at Monticello and owned and operated Tubbs Body Shop for 44 years. He loved to hunt, go to the horse races and loved to restore vintage cars. He was a Baptist.
He was born on October 28, 1950 at Dermott and was the son of Martha Elizabeth Kyzer Tubbs and the late Lamar E. Tubbs.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Beegle Tubbs of McGehee; his mother Martha Elizabeth Kyzer Tubbs of McGehee; his son, Jason Rana and his wife, Tiffani of Beebe; his daughter, Amanda Montgomery and her husband, Heath of East End; brothers, Lemuel Tubbs and his wife, Holly of Little Rock, and his twin brother Larry Tubbs and his wife Peggy of Bellaire; a sister, Sue Pambianchi and her husband, Lawrence of McGehee; grandchildren, Damian Rana and Kaitlyn Rana and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be January 18 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee.
Funeral services will be held on January 19 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in McGehee with Revs. Kenny Culpepper and Dr. Ed Balducci officiating. Burial will be at Tillar Cemetery in Tillar.
