Edwin Miles “Wheaties” White, 81, died December 31, 2021, at the Woods of Monticello, in Monticello, Arkansas.
He was born in Little Rock on March 10, 1940, and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Monticello.
Wheaties was a graduate of Monticello High School and Arkansas A&M. He coached and taught school in Bastrop, Louisiana for many years. He enjoyed fishing and football. Wheaties, always laughing, joking, and full of fun, was a good and kind man who loved talking with friends, family, and even complete strangers.
He was preceded in death by his mother Willie Mae Miles White and his father Henry White.
He is survived by a son, Dr. Steven White of Vancouver, Canada; a stepdaughter, Ann Hartness of Monticello; and a most special cousin, Carolyn Henley Moore of Monticello.
A graveside service will be at Oakland Cemetery, in Monticello on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at 2 p.m.
