Effie Carr Pearson, 62, of Monticello, died on May 29, 2017 at her home.

She was born on October 11, 1954 at Montrose and was the daughter of the late Jesse William Carr and Lucy Lucille Hunter Carr.

She was employed with Burlington Industries for years, was a homemaker and a member of the Assembly of God faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, John Carr and Joe Carr; and sisters, Carolyn Gardner, Sue Lawson, Bonnie Light and Doris Light.

She is survived by her husband, Alben Pearson of Monticello; a son, Bill Pearson and wife Windy of Little Rock; daughters, Tanya Barnett and husband, Jeff of Monticello, Samantha Brown and husand Brandon of Star City, and Robbie Barnett and husband Monty Ray of Monticello; brothers, Travis Carr of Junction City and Alton Carr of Calion; a sister, Jerri Groves of Bradford; and 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 1 at Frazer’s Funeral Home in Warren. Burial will be at Parker Prospect Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Visitation is May 31 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Frazer’s Funeral Home.
