EJ Singleton 78, of Watson passed away March 13, 2020 in Little Rock.

He was born October 30, 1941 in Dermott to the late Horace and Agnes Ross Singleton.

Mr. Singleton and was a member of Watson Baptist Church. He retired from farming and decided to buy a truck and drive for Riceland; he liked to stay busy, so retirement wasn’t for him. He was a member of Watson Chamber of Commerce, on the Watson School Board and was the Desha County Farm Family of the Year 1989.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Shirley Lloyd.

Survivors are his wife, Frances Singleton of Watson; two sons, Randy and his wife Paula of McGehee and Mark and his wife (Suzanne) of Watson; two sisters, Janice Holt and husband Larry of Springdale and Connie Grissom and husband (Dickie) of Sheridan; three grandchildren, Gracie, Crews and John Mark and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation and a funeral service will be held on March 16, at Watson Baptist Church. Visitation begins at 1 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. Rev. Larry Donaldson and Rev. Ben White will officiate. Burial will be at Watson Cemetery.
