Elaine Pierce Dye, 55, of Monticello, passed away in the early morning hours of September 28, 2015.
She was born on September 8, 1960 at Lake Village.
Known as “E” and “Poodle” by those closest to her, Elaine was a graduate of Montrose Academy and went on to get her cosmetology license from Delta Beauty School. She was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.
She was a music lover, an avid reader and writer, was artistic and loved a good joke and a hearty laugh. Many memories of her include tears of laughter rolling down her cheeks while playing Spades or Gin Rummy.
She was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Nettie May (Granny) Jones and grandfather, James William Jones of Mansfield, Texas.
She is survived by her best friend, partner and soul-mate, Troy Piper of Monticello; her parents, Lloyd and Wanda Pierce of Lake Village; three daughters, Nicole (Nathan) Madewell of Cookeville, Tennessee, JoBeth (Mitch) King of Winona, Mississippi, and Heather (Chris) Cannatella of Lake Village; a brother, Britt Pierce of Lake Village; three sisters, Nora (Reed) Breedlove of Lake Village, Cindy (Chris) Sims of McGehee, and Lisa (Jim) Coats of Springdale; two granddaughters, Lily Grace Madewell and Keathley Mae King, and another grandchild on the way; four nephews, two great nieces, and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on October 1 at 1 p.m. at Bishop-King Funeral Home Chapel in Lake Village burial following at Jennie Cemetery in Lake Village.
Visitation is September 30 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
