Elizabeth Ann Arnold McKissack, 81, of Star City went to meet Jesus peacefully on Sunday morning, January 17, 2021 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
She was born February 28, 1939. She was the only child of Delmar Allen “Jack” and Willie Fae Vaughan Arnold of Bearden.
Ann was born in Camden and grew up in Bearden. While raising two daughters, she very proudly obtained her G.E.D. and later a cosmetology license. Throughout her life, Ann held a plethora of jobs. She worked at the Dairy Freeze that she owned and operated, the Catfish Kitchen, and The Shoe Store. Until retirement, she worked at J&M Mobile Homes, where she filled many roles. Her most treasured and fulfilling job was being a mother and grandmother.
Ann is survived by two daughters, Debbie (Randy) Morgan and Donna Webb, both of Star City; a close cousin she considered a sister, Ruth Ann (Tom) Poole, of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren Justin Webb, Ryan Morgan, Laura Ann (Jeremy) Hannum, Matthew (Jessica) Webb, and Jack Allen Webb; six great grandchildren Aiden Webb, Brison Morgan, Matthew David Webb, Vivi Ann Morgan, Haygen Webb, Remi Elizabeth Morgan, and Huntley Webb (February 2021); and a host of friends she held dear to her heart. To know her was to love her.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Star City, where she attended the TEL-Deborah Sunday School Class. Ann was an avid reader and loved Elvis Presley.
A private graveside service will be held Wednesday for family only.
