Elizabeth Ann Brawner “Betty” Hibbard, 69, of Monticello, died on March 21, 2019 peacefully in her sleep at home.
She was born on April 10, 1949 in Little Rock to the late Robert Bryan Brawner and Eva Chastain Brawner.
She was a retired psychologist with master’s degrees in psychology and Spanish. She was also a certified school administrator. She was raised in Dallas, Texas before returning to Arkansas where she attended the University of Central Arkansas and Hendrix College. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby Joe Hibbard of Wilmar; a daughter, Mrs. Susan Elizabeth Ferrell “Christopher” of Jacksonville, Florida; two sons, Jody Alan Hibbard “Susan” of Star City and Jeffery Adam Hibbard of Tulsa, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Chloe Elizabeth Crum and Levon Davis of Jacksonville, Florida, Jonathan Hibbard, Jake Hibbard and Jared Hibbard of Star City.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 23 at 2:30 p.m. at Dewitt Cemetery in Dewitt with Rev. Donald Lee Ruffin officiating. Visitation will be held at 2 p.m. at the cemetery.
