Elizabeth Bays, 86, of Crossett, formerly of El Dorado, died January 21, 2014, in El Dorado after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born August 4, 1927, in Ashley County and was the daughter of the late William P. and Bessie T. Watson.
Mrs. Bays was an active member of North Crossett First Baptist Church and loved to cook, garden, and spend time with family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, T. M. Bays; three brothers, James Watson, Cornelius Watson, David Watson; and a grandson, Jonathan Swager.
She is survived by daughters, Becky Glasgow and husband Gary, Jaynie Swager and husband Tim; one son, Bobby Bays and wife Jo Lynn; grandchildren, Clay Glasgow, Dana Glasgow Morgan, Jennifer and Elizabeth Bays, Lauren, Rebecca, Erik, Emily, Amber, and Daniel Swager; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Cynthia Ann Hollis, Alice Swilley; one brother, Thomas Watson.
Funeral service will be held January 24 at 1 p.m. at Medders Funeral Home in Crossett with Rev. Robin Allen and Rev. Gary Glasgow officiating.
Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to funeral service. Burial is at Crossroads Cemetery, Crossett.
