Elizabeth Moseley Edwards, of Montrose, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2016 at her residence following a short illness.
Mrs. Edwards was a native of Sumter, South Carolina. She attended the University of South Carolina and graduated from the University of Georgia in 1958.
She married Jack Edwards in 1958 and after a short stint in Fort Smith while Jack completed his military service, they moved back to Jack’s hometown, Montrose, in Southeast Arkansas where she learned all about the role of a farmer’s wife. She was an integral part of the family farming operation and also a big supporter of the arts community.
Mrs. Edwards was a member of the Montrose United Methodist Church. She never met a stranger and was kind, generous and the life of every social event she attended.
She was preceded in death by her parents, True and Elizabeth Cuttino Moseley.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jack Edwards of Montrose; three daughters, Mary Edwards (Kathy DeNatale) of Atlanta, Georgia, Cynthia Kimbrell (Howard) of Bentonville and Vickie Henning (Mike) from East End; a sister, Mary Ellen Moseley of Atlanta, Georgia; six grandchildren, Jackson Kimbrell of New Orleans, Louisiana, True Kimbrell of Bentonville, Ashley Carpenter (Michael) of Little Rock, Jonathon Henning of East End, Peter DeNatale and Matthew DeNatale both of Atlanta, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 15 at 10 a.m. at Pinewood Memorial Park with Stanton Veazey officiating. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 14 at the Jones- Hartshorn Funeral Home in Hamburg.
Pallbearers are Jonathon Henning, Michael Carpenter, Jackson Kimbrell, True Kimbrell, John Newcome and Tracy Borgognoni. Memorials may be made to:
