Ellis Ferrell Holcomb, 59, of Star City, passed away on January 23, 2020 at his home.
He was born on December 16, 1960 in Blytheville.
Mr. Holcomb was of the Church of Christ faith and a millwright at Fiber Resources for 30 years before going to work at Southern Specialty. He loved hunting, fishing and camping. He loved his family, but most of all he loved his grandkids.
Preceding him in death were his father, John Wallace Holcomb; father-in-law, Billy Cheek; mother-in-law, Stella Cheek; and granddaughter, Mary-Alexsis “Lexi” Ry’Ann Guthrie.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Jo Cheek Holcomb of Star City; mother, Linda Boals Holcomb of Adel, Georgia; four sons, Josh (Brooke) Holcomb and Timmy (Jennie) Holcomb, both of Star City, Jonathan Estess and Andrew Estess, both of Pine Bluff; daughter, Katie (Robert) Guthrie of Star City; three brothers, John (Mary) Holcomb of Sumner, Washington, Robert (Wendy) Holcomb and James (Bridgett) Holcomb, both of Adel, Georgia; three sisters, Terri (Jamie) of Raleigh, NC, Cheryl Woodruff of Benton, and Terri (Jimmy) Garrison of Marion; two brothers-in-law, Kenneth Cheek of Sheridan and Louis Cheek of Pine Bluff; and 12 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Friday, January 31, at 7 p.m. at Griffin Funeral Chapel with Bro. Carl Wilson, Jr. officiating. A visitation will be held Friday from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
