Elsie Mae Pollock, 81, of Hamburg, died on December 17, 2017 at her residence.
Mrs. Pollock was a native of Perry County and a resident of Hamburg for the past 58 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Harmony Baptist Church in Bastrop, Louisiana. She enjoyed singing and was a former member of the Calvary Crusaders. Family was everything to her and she loved spending time with them.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie R. Pollock; three grandsons, Jamie Pollock, Billy Earl Pollock and Karl Rayburn Pollock; her parents, Rayburn and Elsie Lovitta Moore West; three brothers, James, Raymond and Curtis West and a sister, Peggy DeBlieux.
She is survived by two sons, Ricky Pollock and wife, Dawana, and Karl Ray Pollock all of Hamburg; two sisters, Irma Coleman and Serita Fulmer both of Bastrop, Louisiana; six grandchildren, Misty Montgomery, Jacquline Pollock, Shawn Pollock, Josh Pollock, Joseph Pollock and Blake Pollock; 12 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Tuesday after 6 p.m. at the the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 20, at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Bro. Allan Eppinette officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Joey West, Mark West, Mitch West, Owens West, Lance West and Rodney Coleman. Honorary pallbearers are Robert DeBlieux, Jim Pollock and Keith Sistrunk.
