Emma Louise Osborne Coulter, 89, passed away at McGehee Hospital, on December 29, 2013.
She was born on November 26, 1924 and was the daughter of the late Orpha and James Arthur Osborne.
Known to her friends and family as “Nanny,” Mrs. Coulter was a beloved mother of five adoring daughters.
She was preceded in death by her husband J.W. Coulter and two daughters, Diane Coulter and Kay Birchfield.
She is survived by three daughters, Brenda Denton of McGehee, Phyllis Wall of Jonesboro, and Arlene White of McGehee; two sons-in-law, Jim White and Jimmie Birchfield of McGehee; five grandchildren, Rachel Denton Freeze and Jamie (Eddie) OConnor of McGehee, Casey King (John) of Watson, Edward Holt (Sarah) of Wynne, and Amber Holt Davis of Jonesboro; great-grandchildren Miles Robbins, Collin and Mason OConnor, Madison, Jacob, and Lucas King, Chandler and Colbi Holt, Anna Claire, Ashton, and Meredith Davis, and Aidan Avellino.
Funeral services will be held at the chapel of Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service of McGehee on December 31, 2013 at 2 p.m. with Bro. Joe Head of First United Methodist Church of McGehee officiating.
The family will receive visitors at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service on December 30 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Pallbearers are Timmy Pambianchi, Darren Gill, Ronald Dawkins, Chris Robbins, Michael Taylor, Lawrence Crift, Jeff Davis, Randy Bassett, and Quantre’ Morgan.
Honorary pallbearers are Pat Denton, Eddie Holt, Mike Sims, Chris Sims, David Box, and F.H. Gill.
Mrs. Coulter will be laid to rest at McArthur Cemetery following the funeral service.
Arrangements are under the direction of Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service of McGehee. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to First United Methodist Church of McGehee or Paws and Claws Humane Society of McGehee.
