Emma Rae Akin Hobbs, 93, of Pine Bluff, passed away on April 2, 2020, at General Baptist Health Care in Pine Bluff.
She was born on February 6, 1927 at Wilmar to the late Fred and Myrtle Sullivan Akin.
Rae retired from Jefferson Regional Medical Center, where she worked as a patient representative. She most recently retired from Ridgeway Christian School in Pine Bluff, where she served as a teacher’s assistant.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy M. Hobbs; five brothers, Bernard Akin, Tommy G. Akin, Dewitt Akin, Carl Akin and Raymond Akin; and one sister, Jane Akin Wilson.
She is survived by two sons, Randy Hobbs and Ricky Hobbs and wife Deborah all of Pine Bluff; a grandson, Hasty Hobbs of Little Rock; a granddaughter, Miranda Hand and husband Earnest of Sheridan; two great grandchildren, Blaze and Nevaeh; a sister, Betty Akin Sawyer of Monticello; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
