Emmett Martin Cope, 77, of Warren, passed away on December 31, 2017, at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock.

He was born on April 3, 1940, at Rye and was the son of the late Noah A. and Floy Curry Cope.

Mr. Cope attended Woodlawn schools until the 8th grade, then transferred to Warren High School where he graduated in 1958. He served in the United States Army from 1962 to 1964 and worked for 40 years for the Crow-Burlingame Company. He retired in 2000.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Cope Brightwell.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carolyn Ferguson Cope; his daughter, Karen Cope Smith (Neil) of Woodbridge, Virginia; a brother, David Cope (Mary) of Helena-West Helena; a sister, Jerrilyn Cope Bulloch (Bobby) of Huntsville, Texas; three nieces and three nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 5, at 1:30 p.m. at Frazer’s Funeral Home in Warren. Burial will follow at Union Hill Cemetery in Ingalls.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 4, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
