Emory Lee Kemp, 80, of Rison, died on February 4, 2016 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Kemp was a retired Air Force veteran, a self-employed electrician and a teacher for the Arkansas Department of Corrections. He was a member of Jacob Brump Masonic Lodge #160 in Pine Bluff, a lifetime member of VFW Post 55, and lifetime member of the Air Force Sergeants Association.
He was born March 2, 1935 in Honolulu, Hawaii and was the son of the late Robert and Crystal Faye Chester Kemp.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death was his wife, Maxine Cates Kemp.
Survivors include two sons, Brian Glenn Kemp of Stockton, California and Eric Lee Kemp of Greeley, Colorado; two daughters, Diane Elaine Kemp of El Cajon, California and Wendy Parker of Greeley, Colorado; two step-daughters, Virginia Taylor of Oglesvy, Texas and Lynda Faye Lane of Star City; a brother, Robert Kemp of Pine Bluff; three grandchildren; five step-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on February 8 at 2 p.m. at Griffin Funeral Chapel in Star City. Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
