Eric Adams, 49, of Hamburg, died on April 28, 2016 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas.
He was a native of Warren and a resident of Hamburg since 1981.
Mr. Adams graduated from Hamburg High School in 1985. He was a truck driver for Timber Producers and a member of the First Baptist Church. He enjoyed cooking for his family and reading about the Civil War.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Adams in 1986; his grandparents, Walter and Connie Blankenship Adams and Tilman Jerome (Pop) and Hazel Polk Hargrave.
He is survived by a son, Jake Adams of Hamburg; his mother and step-father, Nancy Hargrave Gwin and Bobby Jo Gwin of Hamburg; a sister, Kim Lauhon and husband, Ronnie of Hamburg; a special uncle, Mickey Hargrave of Hamburg; two nieces, Trenna Lauhon of Hamburg and Cheyenne Clavet and husband, Garrett, of McGehee; a nephew, Derek Lauhon of Hamburg; and two great-nephews.
Funeral services will be held on May 1 at 2 p.m. at the Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Josh Luellen officiating. Burial will be in the Hamburg Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Joe Foster, Darren Cason, Richard Weatherly, Jeff Pennington, Zach Bostick and Hunter Thompson. Honorary pallbearers are the Hamburg High School class of 1985.
Visitation is April 30 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home in Hamburg.
