Erma Gladys Carter Hoyt, 95, of Dumas passed away on November 30, 2015.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Dumas and a retired teacher.
Mrs. Hoyt was born December 6, 1919 at Monticello, and was the daughter of the late Egland Carter and Lila Thompson Carter.
She was also preceded in death by her husband William Basil Hoyt; two sons and one granddaughter.
Survivors are two sons, Tony Hoyt of Edmonds of Washington and Keith Hoyt of Star City; three daughters, Lila Bishop Freeman of Dumas, Teresa Berkelback of South Haven, Mississippi and Joan Evans of San Antonio, Texas; 38 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
Visitation is December 3 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church prior to funeral services at 2 p.m. Rev. Scott Gilbreth and Roger Milligan will officiate. Burial will be at Best Cemetery, Star City, Arkansas.
Memorials may be to American Foundation for Seizure Research or a charity of donor’s choice. Arrangements are by Griffin Funeral Home in Dumas.
