Ethan Hal Barnes, 16, of McGehee, passed away on July 8, 2016 at Arkansas Children’s Hospital following an ATV accident.

Ethan was born in Monticello on September 30, 1999. He was known as a prankster and comedian and enjoyed playing jokes on people. He loved football and track, and spending time outdoors with his family and friends.

Survivors include his parents, James and Diana Barnes of McGehee and Ashley and Justin Collins of Tillar; brothers Hunter Barnes and Aden Barnes both of McGehee; grandparents, Bobby and Kathy Barnes of Stratford, Missouri, Tressa Stanley of Lacey and Daniel Stanley of Tillar; great-grandparents, Bob and Sue Barnes of Russellville and Betty Fulps of Greenville, Mississippi; step brother Trey Stuckey of McGehee; step sister, Davanee Stuckey of McGehee; step-grandparents, Roy and Faye Deaton of McGehee, Clark Valentine of McGehee, and Renee and Vaughn Causey of Cushing, Oklahoma; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held on July 12 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee.

Funeral services will be held on July 13 at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in McGehee with Rev. Kenny Hogue officiating. Interment will follow at Tillar Cemetery in Tillar.
