Fannie M. Turner, 83, of Star City died on January 29, 2015 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Turner was born on April 24, 1931 in Star City and was the daughter of the late Oscar and Jennie Leonard Carter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, J.E. “Shorty” Turner; five brothers, Otis Carter, Homer Carter, Jack Carter, Lawrence Carter and Wayne Carter; and two sisters, Maudie White and Lizzie White.
Survivors include a son, Edward (Jennifer) Turner of Star City; two daughters, Bobbie Turner and Brenda Turner, both of Star City; a brother, Carnell Carter of Killeen, Texas; a sister, Ollie Miller of Dumas and two grandchildren, Paul Turner and Robin (Trevor) Turner.
Funeral services will be held on January 31 at 2 p.m. at Griffin Funeral Chapel with Bro. Gid Walters officiating.
Visitation is from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the funeral home preceding the funeral service.
Burial at Holly Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers are Paul Nobles, Ray McMillan, Brian Owen, Claude Holloway, Trevor Tucker and Spencer Aldridge.
