The Values in Parenting Group (VIP), sponsored by First Presbyterian Church of Monticello, will host its 2019 Fall Parenting Series, “A House Divided”, at the church on October 21, 28, and November 4. Experienced professionals will offer tips for parents and children who are stuck in the minefield of divorce, according to a news release from the group.
Monday, October 21
Dr. Matthew Buckley, a counselor-educator, supervisor, and clinical mental health and marriage and family counselor, will offer his clinical and personal experience with divorcing families.
Monday, October 28
Judge Marion Humphrey, a retired circuit court judge and pastor of Allison Presbyterian Church in Little Rock, will share his legal and personal experience with divorce issues. Kari Sawyer, local attorney ad litem, shares her experiences representing children in custody cases.
Monday, November 4
Area school counselors, Savannah Singleton (Drew Central) and Susan Frost, Regina Lanehart and Johnna Cason (Monticello), will share their learnings and suggestions for divorcing families.
