Cane Creek State Park in Lincoln County will host Flapjack 20, a 20-mile overnight hike, on February 2-3.
Originally designed to help Boy Scouts reach a goal of achieving a 20-mile night hike, the Flapjack 20 is now an annual event that is open to the public.
Join Park Interpreter Austin as he guides you along a portion of the Cane Creek Lake Trail under the light of the full moon. After the hike, prepare yourself for a warm fire and a hot breakfast with sausage, coffee, juice, and of course, flapjacks.
Groups and individuals are welcome, but the last day to sign up for this event is Friday, January 26. A headlamp or flashlight is required and warm clothes such as a good jacket, gloves, earmuffs, and warm socks are a must. Hiking boots are encouraged.
The event is free. Call Cane Creek State Park at (870) 628-4714 for more information.
