A former Monticello resident was killed and four Little Rock residents were injured Monday morning in a head-on collision in Garland County, according to State Police.
Paula Moix, 55, of Hot Springs, formerly of Monticello, was killed when her eastbound 2010 Hyundai Elantra crossed the center line of Highway 70 and struck a westbound Chevrolet pickup truck head-on, according to Arkansas State Trooper Andrew Ault’s preliminary accident report.
The driver of the pickup truck, Donald Wilkerson, 32, of Little Rock, and his passengers, Valerie Wilkerson, 35, of Little Rock and two minors were injured in the accident. The minors were not identified in the accident report.
The accident occurred at 10:20 a.m. Monday. The weather was clear and the roadway was dry.
