Fredia Ellen Harris Burton, 79, of Crossett, passed away on March 7, 2021 at Conway Baptist Medical Center while surrounded by her family.
She was born on February 10, 1942 in Crossett to Eugene and Clara Harris.
She was a lifelong teacher. She loved her family and her church family. She was a member of Grace Christian Fellowship Church. She enjoyed sewing, writing, fishing and camping with her husband before he passed, and spending time with her daughters and grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Fredia was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene F. and Clara Lochala Harris; her husband, of 40 years, Stanley Burton, Jr. and two brothers, Stuart Harris and James Harris.
Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Marla Swan McCandless and Crystal Burton Hogue (Mark), both of Crossett; six grandchildren, Devan Swan of Crossett, Sadie Cothron (Clayton) of El Dorado, Michael McCandless (Brianna) of Heber Springs, Dakota Burton, Sianna Burton and Dallen Hogue, all of Crossett; and eight great grandchildren along with a host of friends and other loved ones.
A graveside service will be held at Thursday, March 11 at 2 p.m. at Oakland Cemetery in Monticello with Bro. Scott Wheeler officiating. Pallbearers are Jeremy Mills, Chalin Willis, David Dickerson, Michael McCandless, Blake White and Brandon Reed.
A memorial service will held Sunday, March 14, at 2 p.m. at Grace Christian Fellowship, located at 912 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive in Crossett.
