Gaylon Gasaway, 93, of Gould, passed away April 15, 2022, in Dumas.

He was born on December 18, 1928, in Gould to the late Greely and Sarah Gales Gasaway.

His loving wife, Shirley Knight Gasaway; sister, Joy Gasaway; son-in-law, Larry McMahan; and great-grandson Conner McMahan preceded him in death.

Gaylon was a long-time member of Landmark Baptist Church and later attended Smyrna Baptist Church. He retired in 1993 from Synergy Gas Company where he was the location manager. He also worked various construction jobs before returning to Gould to raise a family. Gaylon loved to hunt, turkey hunting was his passion. He was a former member of South Bend Hunting club, Gould Hunting Club, and a member of Paschall Hunting Club.

Survivors are two daughters, Gayle McMahan of Arkansas City and Ramona (Jim) Dixon of Greenbrier; one son, Kenny (Ester) Gasaway of Wildwood, Florida; grandchildren, Kimberly (Steven) Grammar, Jamie Smith, Keith Dixon, Leanne Gasaway, Michelle (David) Sarra, and Patrick Dixon; great grandchildren, Julia Beatty, C.J Beatty, Cassidy Burns, Sydney Smith, Braden Mosby, Cayden Smith, Penelope Sarra, Astrid Sarra, Gwendolyn Sarra, and Ash Sarra; great-great grandchildren, Mason Beatty, Madox Beatty, Cooper Hill, Conner Joe Beatty, Bo Andrew Hill, And Tate Beatty.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 19, at 10 a.m. at Dark Corner Cemetery. Bro. Dubs Byers and Bro. Jim Smith will officiate.
