George Clayton “Buddy” Keeling, 80, of McGehee, passed away July 7, 2020.

He was born on August 3, 1939 at McArthur and was the son of the late George W. and Myrtle Bryant Keeling.

Mr. Keeling worked as a mechanic for J.A. Riggs Tractor Company for 37 years. He loved hunting, fishing and riding motorcycles.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years Hydle Bell Keeling; daughter, Peggy Hogue; grandson, Christopher Patterson; great-granddaughter, Jasmine Lane; brothers, George Reddic Keeling, Jed Keeling and Donald Keeling; sisters, Mary Ann Sullivan, Sue Reginelli and Jean Lopez.

Survivors include his son, George Lowell Keeling and his wife Tammy of Harrisburg; daughters, Dorothy Patterson of Benton and Jean Lane and her husband Herbert Lane, Jr. of McGehee; brothers, John Keeling of Harrison, Jessie Keeling of Denton, Texas and James Keeling of McArthur; sisters, Hazel Carpenter of Little Rock and Nona Moore of Plainview; seven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 11 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service. Graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at the Keeling Family Cemetery at McArthur with Rev. Kenny Culpepper officiating.
