Geraldine Wright Coleman, 71, of Dermott, passed away on October 17, 2015 at Jefferson Regional Memorial Hospital in Pine Bluff.

She was born December 10, 1942 at Dermott and was the daughter of the the late Griffin Wright, Jr. and Carrie Bell Wright.

Mrs. Coleman accepted Christ at an early age while attending Calvary #1 M.B. Church. She later joined Tabernacle M.B. Church under the leadership of Reverend W.L. Plummer and now Pastor Ricky Lattimore, Sr. She was for many years in the Tabernacle Choir, Voices of Deliverance, and The Humble Servants Unto God. She also served for many years as a Sunday school teacher and secretary at Tabernacle M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Oscar Coleman, Jr.; two sisters, Doris Davis and Virgil Lee Wright; a brother O.T. Wright; and seven children.

She is survived by nine daughters, Detris (Barney) Hurd of Beloit, Wisconsin, Yvette (Derrick), Turner of Hickory Hills, Illinois, Tolise (Bonnie Dell, Jr.), Harris of Beloit, Wisconsin, Anna (Bruce), Green of Dermott, LaTonyia Evans of Dermott, Mary Coleman of Elgin, Illinois, Joy Ray (Yousef), Alfakih of Dermott, Kimberly Coleman (Tyrone Simpson) of Dermott, Yvonne Coleman of Dermott; five sons, Oscar Coleman Illinois, Al (Wanda), Coleman of Chicago, Illinois, Kenneth Coleman of Elgin, Illinois, Titus (Mashima) Coleman of Chicago, Illinois, Fredrick (Venus) Coleman of Dermott; two sisters Eddie Mae Walker, and Claudine Mumphrey; 65 grandchildren, 60 great grandchildren, two great great-granddaughters and host of other family and friends.

Visitation is October 24 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Dermott. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the church with Revs. Ricky Lattimore and Ricky Fuquay, Sr., officiating. Burial will be at Coleman Cemetery at Dermott under the direction of Bishop-King Funeral Home of Lake Village.
